A little about us…

A little about us…

A little about us…

We’re Komodo Digital, a Newcastle-based digital studio with a passion for solving complex problems and creating real-world impact for our clients. We’re not your typical formal business, but take our work seriously.

We work on projects that push boundaries and pride ourselves on a culture that’s both innovative and down-to-earth. We love solving complex challenges for big clients but also appreciate a good laugh along the way. Our Newcastle studio is a creative space where ideas flow—and we’d love for you to be part of it.

About the Role

About the Role

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our team—someone who can pick up and run projects autonomously while also being a great collaborator. This role reports directly to the Design Director, who will provide you with guidance and support throughout the design process.

As a Senior Designer at Komodo Digital, you’ll be at the forefront of our creative projects. You’ll take ownership of the design process from start to finish, leading the way in creating innovative solutions for our clients. You’ll run discovery workshops, develop concepts, and turn ideas into beautifully crafted digital products.

This role is about balancing creativity with practicality —taking complex ideas and turning them into intuitive, user-friendly designs that work seamlessly across platforms.

You’ll work closely with clients to understand their needs and guide them through the design process, ensuring their vision is brought to life. Collaboration is critical —you’ll work alongside developers, product managers, and other designers to deliver projects that meet our high quality and creativity standards. We also need you to be comfortable facilitating workshops, conducting user research, and presenting your ideas clearly and effectively.

  • This is a hybrid role, so you need to be able (and happy) to work from our Newcastle studio a few days a week. We value flexibility but thrive on the energy of in-person collaboration. We also require you to attend any client meetings/workshops in the office when scheduled.

  • You’re confident running discovery workshops and creative sessions independently—you love diving deep into understanding our clients and their challenges.

  • Experience with Figma, FigJam/Miro, and prototyping tools to design wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity designs.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design decisions to internal teams and clients.
